Anaïs Drago wurde 1993 in Biella geboren und gewann 2022 den Top Jazz Award Italiens als bestes neues Talent, und 2024 gewann sie den Seifert-Wettbewerb in Krakau, einen internationalen Wettbewerb für Streichinstrumentalisten im Jazz. Sowohl 2023 als auch 2024 tauchte ihr Name in der jährlichen Umfrage des Down Beat Magazins in der Kategorie Rising Stars – Violine auf.
Das Trio ReLeVé hebt den Schwung und die explosive Energie hervor, die die Musik und Live-Auftritte des gleichnamigen Trios durchdringen, bestehend aus Anaïs Drago, dem Klarinettisten Federico Calcagno und dem Schlagzeuger und Perkussionisten Max Trabucco.
Jede Komposition auf dem Album betont die Verbindung der drei Instrumente und schafft ungewöhnliche Klänge und Farben. Die zeitgenössische Musik ist mitunter hypnotisch, manchmal experimentell und bewegt sich zwischen Jazz-, Rock- und Folk-Traditionen, wobei mit sorgfältigem Einsatz von Klangpalette und erweiterten Techniken, die die Sprachen der zeitgenössischen Musik widerspiegeln, verwendet werden.

Born in 1993 in Biella, Anaïs Drago won Italy’s Top Jazz Award in 2022 as Best New Talent, and in 2024 she won the Seifert Competition in Krakow, an international contest for string instrumentalists in jazz. In both 2023 and 2024, her name appeared in the annual Down Beat Magazine Poll, in the Rising Stars – Violin category.
The trio ReLeVé highlights the momentum and explosive energy that permeate the music and live performances of the trio of the same name, formed by Anaïs Drago, clarinetist Federico Calcagno, and drummer and percussionist Max Trabucco.
Each composition on the album emphasizes the union of the three instruments, creating unusual sounds and colors. The contemporary music is at times hypnotic, sometimes experimental, and moves between jazz, rock, and folk traditions, with a careful use of timbral palette and extended techniques that reflect the languages of contemporary music.
