Răzvan Florescu Quartett ist eine zeitgenössische Jazzgruppe, die eigene Musik spielt, die im Jazz verwurzelt ist und Einflüsse aus Weltmusik, klassischen Traditionen und subtilen elektronischen Elementen aufweist.
Die Band gewann den Preis für die beste Komposition bei der "Johnny Răducanu" International Jazz Competition und war 2025 Finalist bei der B-Jazz International Competition.
Răzvan Florescu ist Vibraphonist und Komponist mit einem akademischen und künstlerischen Hintergrund. Er ist Absolvent der Nationalen Musikuniversität Bukarest, wo er sowohl Jazz als auch klassische Percussion studierte.
Als Bandleader ist Răzvan Florescu aktiv an der Komposition und Gestaltung eigener Projekte beteiligt.
Das Debütalbum des Quartetts, Sketches (2024), enthält acht Originalkompositionen des talentierten Vibraphonisten Răzvan Florescu. Dieses Album taucht in eine reiche Vielfalt musikalischer Texturen und Emotionen ein, durchquert geschickt mehrere stilistische Genres und bewahrt dabei durchgehend eine unverwechselbare, eklektische und verbindende Atmosphäre.

Răzvan Florescu Quartet is a contemporary jazz group that plays its own music rooted in jazz and has influences from world music, classical traditions and subtile electronic elements.
The band won the prize for the best composition at the "Johnny Răducanu" International Jazz Competition and was a finalist in the B-Jazz International Competition in 2025.
Răzvan Florescu is a vibraphonist and composer with an academic and artistic background. He is a graduate of the National University of Music in Bucharest, where he studied both jazz and classical percussion.
As a bandleader, Răzvan Florescu is actively involved in the composition and design of his own projects.
The quartet's debut album, Sketches (2024), features eight original compositions by the talented vibraphonist Răzvan Florescu. Immersed in a rich variety of musical textures and emotions, this album deftly traverses multiple stylistic genres while maintaining a distinctive, eclectic and unifying atmosphere throughout.
