Jazzlegende Heinz von Hermann, Meister der Saxophone und des Grooves, ist nach wie vor (Jahrgang 1936!) europaweit als Solist, Komponist, Workshopleiter und Arrangeur tätig. Seine Autobiographie „Ein bissl Bebop bevor ich geh“ ist 2021 erschienen, und 2023 bekam er das Ehrenkreuz der Republik Österreich für Kunst und Wissenschaft verliehen.
Er hat sich zusammengetan mit dem Mátyás Bartha Trio, das seine Hörer entführt auf eine Reise zwischen Swing und Funk, Improvisation und exaktem Zusammenspiel. Pianist Mátyás Barthas ausdrucksstarke Eigenkompositionen und Jazzstandards werden vom eingespielten Team Christian Salfellner am Schlagzeug und Danny Ziemann am Kontrabass genial interpretiert. Man verliert sich in den von Bartha geschaffenen Geschichten, bewundert die Kunstfertigkeit des Pianisten, die Mischung von raffinierten Tonfolgen und gekonntem Wohlklang der Jazz Trio Tradition.

Jazz legend Heinz von Hermann, master of saxophones and groove, is still active throughout Europe (born in 1936!) as a soloist, composer, workshop leader and arranger. His autobiography "Ein bissl Bebop bevor ich geh" was published in 2021, and in 2023 he was awarded the Cross of Honor of the Republic of Austria for Art and Science.
He has teamed up with the Mátyás Bartha Trio, which takes its listeners on a journey between swing and funk, improvisation and precise interplay. Pianist Mátyás Bartha's expressive original compositions and jazz standards are brilliantly interpreted by the well-rehearsed team of Christian Salfellner on drums and Danny Ziemann on double bass. One loses oneself in the stories created by Bartha, admires the artistry of the pianist, the mixture of refined tone sequences and skillful euphony of the jazz trio tradition.
